As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I have always wanted to provide any patient with the availability to have someone to talk to about an issue or concern that they may be going through and be able to feel heard and understood. My goal is to give anyone a safe and welcoming place where they feel open to share those concerns or worries. I choose SBNC because of the availability of behavioral health services to any patient no matter whether they have the ability to pay. I love how SBNC focuses on patient care by offering integrated care where a patient can be seen by their Primary Care Physician and able to see the Behavioral Health Provider at the same appointment. I feel that being accessible and available to patients that behavioral health can be a more normalized topic to talk about in a Primary Healthcare setting.
