Allison Mayer-Oakes, MD, MSPH, FACP
Internal Medicine
Eastside Clinic
I have always practiced medicine believing in the whole person; body, mind and spirit. I have been an advocate for and expert in women’s hormonal health. I started my career on the full time research faculty at The UCLA School of Medicine and later as a Senior Scientist at the MEDSTAT group in Goleta.
After doing Health Policy work for over 10 years, I discovered that I have a passion for clinical medicine. I enjoy connecting with my patients one on one, and helping them to achieve their optimal health. I started my primary care private practice in Santa Barbara in 1999 but came to The Santa Barbara Neighborhood Clinics in 2016 because I believe in the mission of caring for all patients, regardless of their ability to pay.
I have lived in Santa Barbara for 28 years with my husband Dr. Douglas Duncan. I have two grown adult children and one granddaughter.
